Choosing Picture Frames

When we are talking about a frame, we should not belittle it. Off course, a frame can affect the appearance of ornaments that will be displayed on walls. If we are wrong in choosing a frame, the classy Monalisa painting will lose its appeal. Conversely, a mediocre poster can look very expensive and classy with the right frame selection.

In choosing a frame, we should consider the type of artwork will be framed. For example, Japanese calligraphy painting is not compatible with gold-colored frames which are full of carvings.

The simple picture frame which has black or brown color would be better to be categorized as Japanese calligraphy painting. In addition, the selection of a frame is closely related to the theme of an interior room or whole house. Certainly, it’s not eye-catching if modern indoors interior and full of colorful fun frame, is displayed the antique wood frame.

In term of attachment a frame, many people tend to hang a frame as high as possible. In fact, the ideal position is as high as eye view of the average adult (± 1.5 to 1.7 m above the floor). If we hang a frame above the sofa or other furniture, we should select a wide ornate ± 2 / 3 of the width of the couch, and do not forget to give a distance of about 25-30 cm from the furniture.

In order for a frame can be “caught” by the eye, the frame should be large-sized when it’s compared with the broad wall of the place depends. So, if it is small-sized frame, it will be better to put it in a group, rather than pass it one by one in the entire wall of the room.
